Amisfield was built by the present owner, Sue Bromley-Martin, and her former husband, some 25 years ago.
It is situated in the north of the Isle of Man, just outside Ramsey in the village St Judes, with stunning views of the mountains to the south. The property extends to some 15 acres, of which 7 acres is given over to formal gardens and extensive lawns. In front of the house is a terrace, leading down to a parterre and a formal pond. Beyond the pond, there is a landscaped lake full of flowering lilies.
Within the main house there are three large reception rooms, ideal for entertaining. Across a small courtyard, there is a multipurpose event room which can be used for a wide variety of functions, anything from a formal meeting to being used as a combined bar and dance area. The protected courtyard, some 14m by 14m, can take a 12m by 12m frame marquee. The marquee can be connected to the event room, ideal for small weddings or family parties.
Amisfield has its own traditional canvas cream coloured marquee, which is modular and therefore can be used in 3 sizes - 12m by 12m, 12m by 18m and 12m by 24m. In its largest configuration, it can comfortably seat 150 people with an extensive dance floor and bar area. With a smaller dance floor, it can accommodate around 300 people seated, and a larger number of people where guests are not seated.
The house has five double bedrooms, three with en suite bathrooms. Above the event room, there is a self contained suite with its own sitting room and bathroom.
Some 40 minutes from Ronaldsway Airport and 35 minutes from the Douglas Ferry Terminal, the house is approached over the mountain road, which forms part of the famous TT Race Circuit. From the mountain top, one cans see England, Scotland and Ireland on a clear day.
